You do not need to login in order to sign up for tournaments.
For certain pc/phone browsers you may be asked to provide an event GGID, which will be supplied on the event's home portal/page.
Welcome to our Club. You've reached our Golf Genius Premium (tm) web site, which is open and never requires a user name or password to view the site. Our members private data is locked.
In the upper right corner of this page is either an icon "3 Gear Wheels" or a "Sign In" button. This is for Administrators or those that have established a password. To accomplish this, go to www.golfgenius.com and establish your credentials. Your 'club' email address is your default user name; the password is up to you. By the way, this is not necessary to view our entire site... It does help to see your registered events in the mobile app or event schedule page on this site. It is recommended to set a password in Golf Genius, but it is not required.
IMPORTANT..
Emails from 'noreply@golfgenius.com' should be marked “safe”, as this is our calling card. You can always keep updated by visiting our home page www.ermgc.golfgenius.com Sometimes we see problems for members with Comcast, AOL, business or affinity addresses, as these can block "noreply" addresses. Keep an eye on your spam and promotional folders if you don't see messages from us on a bi-monthly basis. A free Gmail address is found to be the most reliable.
-Benefits: Members of our club are eligible to participate in all events (Sr. Fourball has an age minimum of 55, Match Play has tournament equity requirement). Each tournament will list any requirements for that event. Members also can call the ER Pro Shop for an 8 day advance reservation, one day better than for non-members. Members also receive a 15% discount on merchandise in the pro shop, excluding golf balls and clubs.
-Free mobile apps: Please download the 'Golf Genius' application (by Golf Genius Software LLC). We use this for scoring in all events and you can view "live scoring" during and after the tournament. For recreational posting, download the free app "USGA GHIN", which allows you to keep stats... and for an annual fee, even more. Another good one is ‘The Official Rules of Golf’ (USGA). Please post your casual, non-tournament rounds! All tournament rounds are posted by the organization running them.
-Tournaments: Home events are run by Don Hale Don Hale . Away events are run by Chas Prior chasprior51@gmail.com . New members are welcome to participate in all events, but club-based NCGA qualifiers and our Match Play tournament require ‘tournament equity’. Our bylaws and policy file are posted on this site, if you care to review in more detail. See the Event Schedule tab for open & upcoming events, annual calendars and more.. You can also review all past event results.
-Travel Events: We may also have these unofficial events available, available primarily to our members. Limited schedule, as posted on our home page. Contact Brian McClintock brian.ermgc@gmail.com for more information.
-Handicapping: We require that all recreational rounds & outside tournament scores be posted in a timely fashion (3 days). Our club will post all club tournament rounds. We monitor the posting habits of all members in order to maintain a fair and equitable club. Any handicapping questions can be directed to our Handicap Chairman, Doug Graf doug.ermgc@gmail.com
-Event payouts: Flight money is awarded as 'credit book' at Empire Ranch GC, usually about a week after event completion. Credit earned is good for green fees (recreational, not tournaments), merchandise, range balls, as well as food/bev in the Greenside Grille. Optional games (gross, net skins, deuces and hole-in-one) are paid in cash (via mailed club check) to individual winners. Any questions about club finances, billing, refunds and winnings should be directed to our Treasurer, Ryan Young ryan.ermgc@gmail.com . Tournament & Club Policies
We run our events in a friendly, but official manner. We expect pace of play, dress code and conduct policies to be followed. No blue jeans, tee shirts etc.. just appropriate golf attire, but we can be forced to turn away someone that our venues won't accept. We cheerfully refund players withdrawing from an event in a timely fashion. Outside 72 hours to any event is full refund minus $5 handling charge. Inside 72 hours is no refund.
