Empire Ranch Men's Golf Club

 

The Empire Ranch Men's Golf Club was established in 2002 and is a non-profit social organization [IRS Code 501(c)7].  It is directed and managed by a five-member elected Board of Directors which administers Club operations and activities consistent with the Club's Bylaws and Policy File; links to both are located under the "About" menu.

 

The Club's season begins January 1 and ends on October 31st of each year.  We also run events in November & December.  Those who join the Club are granted membership with the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA); members may belong to more than one club within the NCGA (click the "Membership Benefits" button).

 

The mission of the Club is to provide a season-long schedule of golf tournaments - all of which usually have multiple flights.  Typically, 12 monthly home tournaments will be played on a Saturday or Sunday at the challenging and well-maintained Empire Ranch Golf Course each season; three of these events are designated as "major tournaments" which involve a larger prize credits pool and perpetual Club trophies displayed at the golf course.  Various individual and team formats, and the use of different tee markers during the year, provide our members with an array of enjoyable golf competitions.  Additionally, an annual match play tournament is conducted as are Club qualifying events for three NCGA Regular Club Championships: Zone (Four-man), Four-Ball Net (Two-man) and the Senior Four-Ball Net (Two-man/Age 55+).  A match play-style putting contest rounds out the home events.

 

In addition to the home tournaments, the Club will typically conduct 12 monthly away tournaments at some of the finest country clubs in the Sacramento region.  Country club tournaments are held on Mondays. Registration for tournaments open approximately three to four weeks prior to each event or as announced.

 

All tournaments feature prizes in the form of credit at Empire Ranch Golf Club.  Credits may be used for golf (except tournaments), pro shop merchandise, range balls and even food at The Greenside Grille.  Players may also participate in optional cash games including gross skins, net skins and a deuce game.

 

The Club is transparent in all aspects of Club operations and has time-tested handicapping policies.  The Directors are responsive to member inquiries and have a good working relationship with the Empire Ranch GC management.  Directors communicate with the membership on a frequent basis through email to ensure all activities and other information are well publicized.
