Gentlemen, I have spent the past year as Home Tournament Chair after taking a year off from the club to take care of a family matter. Prior to that I spent 7 years as Handicap Chairman and Treasurer for the club and I have enjoyed every aspect of those positions. I think we have the best run club in Northern California and it has been my honor to help maintain the club’s success. In short, I believe I am an asset to the club and I ask for your support in allowing me to continue to serve the club’s needs as a Director.
From a personal perspective, I am passionate about the game of golf. Outside of spending time with my wife and daughter it is one of the things I enjoy doing the most. I love to compete and golf is the perfect venue, whether it is competing with myself to lower my handicap or trying to beat my playing partner. I will bring that passion for the game and competition with me into this leadership position.
From a professional perspective, I have spent more than 30 years managing a variety of aspects of a large, national, title insurance company. One of my strengths is analyzing processes and procedures and identifying areas for improvement while at the same time understanding that the old adage “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” is often very true. I believe my passion for the game and life experiences will continue to bring a tremendous benefit to the club and I would be proud to continue to serve on the board.
I thank you for your consideration.
Don Hale
